A few of the things people commonly want to know before building a home reserve.

A few of the things people commonly want to know before building a home reserve.

01What does Stonecrop Reserve actually do?
Stonecrop helps households plan, source, organize, document, and maintain practical preparedness systems built around the home and the people who live there.
02Is every reserve customized?
Yes. We use tiers as a general framework, but the actual equipment, quantities, storage, and priorities are tailored to each household.
03How much does a Stonecrop Reserve cost?
Projects vary depending on household size, preparedness goals, existing equipment, storage space, and the depth of the system. Smaller projects may begin with a focused category, while comprehensive household reserves can involve a significantly larger investment.
04Do I have to build a complete reserve?
No. Some households begin with one area such as water, backup power, or food and expand over time.
05How much space do I need?
Often less than people expect. Stonecrop can work with closets, garages, basements, utility rooms, pantries, and other available storage areas.
06Can you use equipment I already own?
Yes. Existing generators, portable power stations, filtration systems, stored food, first-aid supplies, and other useful equipment can often be incorporated into the plan.
07Do you install generators, electrical systems, or plumbing?
Stonecrop can plan and coordinate these systems, but licensed electrical, plumbing, or other specialized work is performed by qualified professionals where required.
08What is included in the Home Reserve Plan?
The Home Reserve Plan brings together important household-specific information, equipment instructions, references, maintenance notes, and other useful documentation in one organized place.
09What is Reserve Care?
Reserve Care is an optional ongoing maintenance service that helps keep water, food, batteries, filters, equipment, and household information current and organized.
10How often does food and water need to be rotated?
That depends on the specific products, storage conditions, and manufacturer guidance. Stonecrop tracks those details as part of the system and can help manage rotation through Reserve Care.
11Is this only for major disasters?
No. Many of the systems are useful during more ordinary disruptions such as power outages, severe weather, water interruptions, temporary supply issues, or other events that make normal routines harder.
12Do you sell individual products?
Stonecrop is primarily a planning and implementation service rather than a general retail store. Equipment and supplies are selected as part of a household plan.
13How long does the process take?
Timing depends on the size and complexity of the project, product availability, and whether specialized trades are involved. Stonecrop will outline the expected timeline before implementation begins.
14Where do you work?
Stonecrop Reserve currently serves households in the St. Louis area.
15How do I get started?
Complete the Build Your Reserve questionnaire. We’ll review your household, home, priorities, and goals and follow up with the appropriate next step.
